Outstanding views of northeast Michigan as well as 7 acres of trails and 19 additional acres that the North Star has access to. Pets are welcome at no extra charge. Conveniently located close to many area activities and attractions such as the Amish Community, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, fishing, bird watching, hunting, crosscountry trails. Snowmobile and ride your ATV/ORV/motorcycle from here or take a short ride to the ORV trail head. New in 2007 - large stone barbeque for all guests to use free of charge. Horseshoe pits are now in. Volleyball court to be added in 2011 or 2012. New December 2009 - free Wi-Fi with your rental! New in June 2011 - North Star Store where you can grab a cup of coffee, muffins, donuts, etc, as well as basic supplies. IMPORTANT NOTE: The North Star was built in 1945 and all floors are still the original tile, original counters and cupboards. The plumbing and electrical have all been updated. The interiors have been maintained but NOT replaced. Please remember it is "modernized rustic".
